Minuteman Motel, 3757 Las Vegas Blvd, c. 1966

This was the second name of the Sunrise Motel. It became Minuteman in '66, then Gold Rush Inn in '79.

NEW SUBSURF CITY UPDATE‼️

I know this update JUST dropped but I really like Sunrise Blvd (new location) and its neon environment!!! Not rlly much to discuss but I like speaking my mind.

Some details I screenshotted cause I love seeing what’s going on in the background. Not to mention but the colors in this are just 🤌🤌

DINO MENTIONED 🗣️🗣️🦖 (This lowkey reminds me of that one building in Japan with Godzilla over it).

Some theories after seeing these 2 establishments:

1. The Fairchild’s seem to own some sort of business? They could own a trade in gold or jewelry stores from the looks of it? (So they rich rich 🤑)

2. Frank? Store? Idk buts it’s interesting to say the least. Not to mention but it has a boombox over it so— idk what this could mean but it’s Frank related in some way.

Also there’s this one area where there seems to be a whole lot of construction going on which I LOVE.

Also Sunrise Blvd has ALOT of reoccurring clubs throughout the city— I’m assuming this street is like downtown subway city which I really enjoy.

Well this is loud. I know there’s a popular gaylor theory that yellow=closeting but I think it actually represents the opposite—sunshine/daylight/🌼. I believe this theory started bc she made the closet in the lover house yellow

I plan to make a more detailed post analyzing how she uses yellow eventually. It shows up a ton in the lover era especially the yntcd mv. I think if anything she made the closet yellow bc she had to hide her sunshine for a bit. But that’s just my opinion

Lily first came into the Taylor Swift Universe during the 1989 Era. Will “Sunrise Boulevard” have something to do with her? Will “Sunrise Boulevard” have something to do with the ocean blue-eyed with an accent Sunset Blvd. “Gorgeous” muse?

Taylor had Lily on stage on July 19, 2015 in Chicago for the 1989 tour.

Both hung out with St. Vincent and Cara during this break from the 1989 tour. (See St. Vincent’s Billboard interview about Taylor teaching her how to cook steak.)

A few weeks ago in 2023, Lily, who rarely uses social media, archived several Instagram posts, leaving the total posts at 89. It seems like nothing, but is this Lily’s small way of signaling 1989 and her maybe being a small part of the 1989 TV era? Is she going to come back and make an appearance with the “squad” during the next few months?

Sunrise Motel, 3755 Las Vegas Blvd S – c. 1952

Opened in '52, the Sunrise was one of only a few scattered family-owned motels located north of the airport and south of the Flamingo, most of them not designated with street addresses until the 60s.

Their first neon sign was used for only a few years. Next was the red arrow, seen in the postcard and photo below (circa '56).

Sunrise later became Minuteman Motel, then Gold Rush Motel. It was replaced with Cable Center Shops, then Blvd shopping mall.
